Abstract
In spite of the high hematologic specialization and centralization of the care, basic knowledge of hematology is still a necessary condition of successful internal practice. The authors of the text therefore included into the edition of the Postgraduate Clinical Project a summary of basic hematologic facts which should be mastered by general internists.
The textbook is assigned both to physicians preparing for their first board exam in internal medicine, medical students, and to practitioners that want to keep up-to-date in the field of hematology.
