Abstract
The prognosis of advanced ovarian carcinoma is still uncertain in spite of a big progress in its treatment. Radical surgery without any tumour residuum is recommended as the first step.
It is followed by he therapy with Taxol + cis platinum. Six cycles of therapy are still taken as a standard, but there are speculations of positive effect of prolonged treatment.
