Abstract
Allergens are among the risk factors for the development of bronchial asthma in susceptible people. They initiate asthmatic exacerbations and are responsible for chronic signs of asthma.
In our environment the prevailing allergens are domestic ones. The aim of preventive measures is to decrease exposure to mites, and eliminate contact with moulds and house pets (especially cats and dogs).
