Abstract

Systemic sclerosis, like many other human disease, is of uncertain etiopathogenesis, while involving vascular endothelial dysfunction. Nitric oxide, recently one of the most studied molecules, is considered to play a role in the pathogenesis of this disease.

This review summarizes the current state of knowledge about nitric oxide in various tissues with respect to systemic sclerosis.
