Multifocal electroretinography and its clinical importance

Publication at First Faculty of Medicine |

Abstract

Multifocal electroretinography (mfERG) presents an important supplementation of the standard electrophysiological diagnostic. In contrast to Ganzfeld electroretinography (ERG), it enables the detection of circumscribed, localized functional defects of the retina by simultaneous scanning of electrical activity of small multiple retinal regions.
