Validation of Nitrite and Nitrate Measurements in Exhaled Breath Condensate

Abstract

The aim of the study was to evaluate the factors infuencing the levels of nitrites and nitrates in exhaled breath condensate. Wearing a nose clip during EBC collection has no influence on nitrite and nitrate concentrations.

Short-term repeatability was better for nitrite (%CVs25%), while those of nitrate achieved 49 and 88%, respectively.
