SIH - a novel lipophilic iron chelator - protects H9c2 cardiomyoblasts from oxidative stress-induced mitochondrial injury and cell death

Abstract

In this study, the authors have shown that novel iron chelator-salicylaldehyde isonicotinoyl hydrazone (SIH) dose dependently protects cardiac myocytes (H9c2) from H2O2 (100 uM) induced mitochondrial dysfunction and cell death.
