The contact of Czech and Slovak language in family communication. The problem of idiolect

Abstract

The research of communication between Czech and Slovak speakers was based on speech of a Slovak woman who had been living in Prague in mixed family for thirty years. The aim of analysis was the description of code switching between Czech and Slovak, as well as between Literary and Common Czech, and introducing a new sociolinguistic notion of family idiolect.
