Abstract

The article explains the hybridity of descriptive poetry from the ancient ekphrases, pastorals and georgics, to their classicist imitations and parodies, and to the representations of landscape in preromantic lyric. The second part deals with the aesthetics of Preromanticism, especially with the relationship of essences and phenomena in literary representations of nature (Denis Diderot, Jacques Delille).
