The Human Genome Project has been started in the U.S. in 1990. Its goal was to read all the human genome, which is composed from about 3.2 billion of DNA bases (A,T,C and G).
The project has been finished earlier than expected. Its results represent an important revolution in the medical diagnostics, treatment, and prevention.
More and more results of the Human Genome Project are implemented into the clinical practice every year.
