Abstract

Based on the analysis of Paul Leppin’s early critical activity the study outlines a possible approach of Czech literary-historical studies towards the relationships between the Czech and German modernist movements in the Czech lands. Focusing the work of the so-called Frühlingsgeneration the article also discusses the methodological aspects that the interpretation of the concepts of context and cultural interaction provides for literary history.
