Abstract

This article descibes a new approach to state of health, decline in work capacity and incapacity in post-stroke patients. Stroke is one of the most common causes of death in the Czech Republic, and also one of most serious neurological illnesses in terms of the individual affected.

The authors presenting the cases demonstrate that a detailed comprehensive desciption of the conclusions of neurological examinations have a decisive influence on the state of health and work capacity of patients assessed. At the same time, they advise awareness of health the new incapacity assessment focuses on functional abilities, activity and participation.
