A survey on the Rabbinic Literature of the formative period of Jewish history (2nd – 7th c. CE).
The plurality and the centrality of the Rabbinic concept of torah is scrutinized, a short outline of the history of Rabbinic movement presented, and the most important genres and works of Rabbinic literature are introduced in chronological sequence. Finally, Czech translations of selected passages of the older Tannaitic and younger Ammoraitic texts follow.
