Abstract
The book explores both the notion of representation as a mimetic reference that offers certain images of the actual world constructed by fiction and the notion of representation as a framing concept of literary heritage (canon, tradition). The analysis covers both interpretation of fictional texts and recent theoretical debates on the issue of the term representation.
