Approximation and numerical realization of 3D contact problems with Coulomb friction and a solution-dependent coefficient of friction

Abstract

The paper analyses discrete 3D contact problems with Coulomb friction whose coefficient depends on the solution. It is shown that the problem has a solution for all coefficients represented by continuous, bounded and positive functions.

Conditions under which such problem has a unique solution are established.
