Abstract

The paper introduces a concept of academic efficacy which is based on the self-efficacy theory. However, the academic efficacy is defined in terms of one’s educational process.

The text describes key factors which affect the development of academic efficacy. It also emphasizes how teachers can support their students’ academic efficacy.

Finally, the text also shows links between academic efficacy and students’ motivation and their academic achievements.
