Single mothers exhibit extreme claims in the terms of harmonization of family and professional life. Therefore, the article focuses on the ways these women try to cope with these claims and on their position at the labour market.
Choosing a suitable job, single mothers usually consider the possibility of work and family combination and financial needs of the household. Given that these women are discriminated at the labour market, they can match up to these claims only by exercising jobs that do not correspond to their qualifications and initial career ambitions.
