The Olympic London : Building of the New Jerusalem and the Game of Hope.

Abstract

The study deals with the preparation and course of the Summer Olympic Games in London in 1948, which were held in postwar atmosphere of euphory, and, simultaneously, in time, when the capital of Great Britain had to face complicated economic conditions (Austerity Years).
