A language management approach to language maintenance and shift: A study from post-Soviet Belarus

Abstract

The chapter deals with language shift and language maintenance from the perspective of Language Management Theory which models language shift as social process and practice. The data analyzed concern Belarusian and Russian in contemporary Belarus.
