Abstract

The study deals with Czech banking nationalism before the 1st World War and during the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic and discusses the role played in the process by the head manager of the Trades Bank Jaroslav Preiss, the most important banker of the Czechoslovak Republic between the wars.
