Abstract

In this paper we shall discuss a number of ?translations? of important works of Hungarian prose and verse. The works in question occupy a central place in Hungarian literature, as do their authors, Mór Jókai and Sándor Petőfi.

Czech translations of Hungarian literature are rarely mentioned in Czech theoretical studies and on the translation theory of Jiří Levý.
