Territorializing spiritual values: Notions of "Belonging" and "Possessing" in the Context of Collective Identity Building on the Example of "Kafka-Nachlass" Controversy.

Abstract

This paper brings the analysis of newspaper articles on Max Brod's legacy controversy and of encyclopedies and dictionaries. The aim was to show diverse ways of using the alleged identities for the purpose of forming collective identities.

The controversy over the legacy of F. Kafka and partially also of M.

Brod serves as a basis of this survey. One of the main themes of the article is the concept of physical and metaphoric space.
