In this book, philosophical aspects in the work of one of the most prominent modern Jewish thinker are analyzed. In J.
Soloveitchik, a deep knowledge of Jewish religious tradition and of modern scientific thinking is combined. However, this is not a superficial, apologetic synthesis of Western modernism and Jewish traditionalism, but an expression of essential concurrence of the principles of Judaism and of modern scientific rationalism.
The publication aims to embrace phenomena that have influenced Soloveitchik´s philosophical thinking, as well as the starting points and directions of his own philosophy.
