Abstract
Cardiac troponins are very sensitive and specific indicators of cardiac myocyte injury, and have been used in diagnosis of acute coronary syndromes. Recently, methods with higher sensitivity for cardiac troponin determination were developed.
We measured plasma high-sensitivity troponin T (hs-cTnT) in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HKM). Our data indicate increase of hs-cTnT that can be monitoring of minor myocardial injury in HKM patients.
