This review focuses on the book Václav Talich (1883-1961):Happy and Bitter Fate of Conductor written by Milan Kuna. Vaclav Talich significantly contributed to further artistic forming of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, which under his conduct reached a peak of the highest quality and became world famous musical body.
As a guest conductor of many European orchestras has paid thanks to his peculiar expression as the one of the most influential person of Czech respective Czechoslovak artists in the 20th century and is ineffaceable branded in the world history of this profession.
