Local communities and their risk perception of water: An attempt for deconstruction of global technocratic myth
Abstract
Results of the study made in three river catchments in South Bohemia (rivers Blanice, Lužnice and Stropnice). We tried to answer whether people who live close to the water really feel threatened by the river.
The outcome of the study helps to deconstruct the global technocratic myth preferring hard solutions in flood management.
