Abstract
This monograph seeks to appreciate Shakespeare´s oeuvre in its entirety, and also in the original contexts of the English Renaissance. It is an invitation into the fascinating world of Shakespeare´s imagination which is considered in its broadest sense - images and ideas of the world, natural order and the order of man, appearance and reality.
The essays are in chronological order, offering perspectives on the development of Shakespeare´s comedy, tragedy, history play, romance, and all his poetical works including the Sonnets.
