Solution growth of Ce-Pd-In single crystals: Characterization of the heavy-fermion superconductor Ce2PdIn8

Abstract
The growth of Ce2PdIn8 out of Ce-Pd-In solution was studied. We have shown that Ce2PdIn8 often forms two phased system with CeIn3.
The heat capacity, resistivity and magnetization measurements showed that the superconducting phase transition is strongly dependent on sample synthesis.
