5) Legislativa a etické kodexy regulující profesi klinického psychologa

6) Psychopatologie, duševní poruchy a nemoci

7) Klasifikační systémy duševních a behaviorálních poruch

8) Diagnostika v klinické psychologii

9) Systémy péče o osoby s psychickými poruchami.

Annotation

In this course, students are introduced to the basics of clinical psychology as an application of psychological sciences. With regard to the historical development of the field, emphasis will be placed on the contemporary concept of clinical psychology and the profession of clinical psychologist in the health and social care system of our society.

The content of the course is an introduction to the conditions of work of a clinical psychologist, the current situation in the system of further education, the demands for interdisciplinarity in the approach. Students will be introduced to and discuss the ethical demands on clinical psychologists.

Individual codes of ethics affecting the work of the clinical psychologist will be discussed as well as legal standards framing clinical psychological practice. In addition, students will be briefly introduced to the psychological aspects of mental disorders, general and special psychopathology, and classification systems of mental and behavioral disorders.

The course will also define the possibilities and limits of clinical psychodiagnostics. An outline of remediation, therapies, and prevention of psychiatric disorders is included.

The course will emphasize not only introducing learners to key findings, but also their application and discussion.
